The History Of Brookend Veterinary Practice
Brookend has been caring for the pets of Witham and the surrounding area since 1990. We pride ourselves on being a small friendly independent practice with many long standing staff, several have been here since the very beginning. We feel it is very important that you can see the same people and build a real relationship with them. Our main aim is to keep your animal friends and companions as healthy as possible.
Alison Ewbank purchased the practice from the Waters Partnership and renamed the clinic Brookend Veterinary Surgery after her first dog "Pippin of Brookend" - a border terrier from the famous Brookend border kennels in Chelmsford.
In July 2003 we moved to our current premises where Brookend has continued to grow and evolve, expanding both our team and services to meet the needs of our clients.
In 2009 Mike Probert, who has been with the surgery since 1997, became a partner with Alison and then took sole charge of the practice in 2014 following Alison’s retirement.
As we look to the future, we remain committed to combining the latest in veterinary medicine with the same values that have guided us from the start - Care, Compassion and Community.
